What Do You Mean pre-interview?

An associate producer from a local television program called you. He is interested in having you appear on the map, but before scheduling an appearance, he would like to schedule a phone pre-interview with Senior Producer. Pre-interview? What is a pre-interview?

First of all, congratulations. You have won round one. What it means is that the manufacturer of your information and is happy to inform you seem interested in the program, but before you go on, he wants to make sure that youthe goods are delivered.

Be a good guest for the program? Are you a good interview? And that is how good you are determined on the phone pre-interview. I can not strongly enough how important to emphasize pre-interviews. If you take it easy and decide to not practice or prepare your information, chances are you will not impress the producer, and you'll never make it as a guest on the show. I had clients lose national shows because they refusedPreparations for the pre-interview. She thought she would hide when they got into the show. It's like a comedian saving his best material for the Tonight Show. Well, if no one sees how he is funny, he is never to get on the Tonight Show.

The pre-interview is of crucial importance. It is often more difficult than the actual interview itself. Remember, there are hordes of people who try to access the program you get very interested in you. If you deliver the goods do not, somebody elseis. So be prepared.

Make sure you understand exactly what the interview and what the media wants from you. Do not be shy. Ask questions. Make sure you understand exactly what the producer is looking for. The initial objective is to ensure that history is of particular needs. Once you done that you work on meeting your own needs. Find out exactly what they are looking for, you can clearly discuss the topic. Find out if you intend to be the lone guest to be when you goon a panel, or when it will be a guest represented to be a contrary view. Find out as much as you can.

If you have any facts or information that will help the segment, we know the manufacturer, but not only him a litany of the deed after the fact. If necessary, during the pre-interview to keep a cheat sheet that the information you have posted before you, but use them only as a reference. Do not read the information. It is like you are reading sound. Nail the Interview and the pre-Segment is yours.
