"They do not make 'em like before." You hear the words, about everything - cars, houses, toys, clothes ... Well, they are not about TV shows, as they used to, either. If you are growing traditional TV, you probably have some very fond memories of sitting in front of the TV with your family just a few of the classics in the night. There are very few modern television shows for the whole family can sit down and watch together. Either they are geared to children and adultsare not interested, or they are geared for adults and are inappropriate for children.
There is good news for families who enjoy some time watching television together have to share. Many of the classic TV shows are released on DVD, usually a season at a time. Classic Drama / Adventure. The most dramatic fall in the one hour crime show genre nowadays. You are not always pleasant, and they are certainly not suitable for children. Adventure-type shows, like 24 or Prison Break is not for children either. But McGyver. Now there's a show the whole family to seetogether and learn a thing or two to make a bomb out of a gum, a paperclip and a pencil.
Little House on the Prairie. Gunsmoke. Bonanza. The Waltons. Wonder Woman. Murder She Wrote. Columbo. Emergency. The A-Team. Mission Impossible. The Lone Ranger. The list of classical drama / adventure television shows on DVD goes on and on.
